Birth Certificates
To apply for a birth certificate, you need a picture
ID. We have the application to fill out.
Must have been born in
since birth. We can print birth certificates from 1983 till present. Birth
cards can be
printed from 1904 till present.
Birth certificate fee - $24.00
Birth card fee - $14.00

born before 1983, you can go to the branch office in
Thibodaux Health Unit, phone: 985-447-0800
Passports
Passports can be ordered through the Clerk's office.
A certified copy of applicant's birth certificate or previously issued
passport, valid driver's
license and two passport photos (size 2x2) are required to process the
application.
The fee for age 16 and over is $75.00 plus a $25.00 execution fee and valid for
10 years.
The fee for anyone under age 16 is $60.00 plus a $25.00 execution fee and valid
for
5 years. The fee for the passport agency is made out to U.S. Dept. of State
(check only).
The execution fee is to the Clerk of Court (cash or check).
You may also renew your passport at the Clerk's office. Fee is $75.00. You need
your
old passport and 2 pictures.
It usually takes about 4-6 weeks for you to receive your passport. There are
procedures
that can be taken to expedite a passport also. Add $60.00 per application and
2-way
overnight delivery. Takes about 2-3 weeks.
