Marriage License

To obtain a marriage license, both persons must provide one of the following:

Birth Certificate or Baptism Certificate

Only one person is required to purchase the license. If a person is under the age of 18,
a parental signature is required. If a person is under the age of 16, a District Judge must
give permission.

If either person has been divorced, judgment of divorce papers are required. If former
spouse is deceased, dated death certificate is required. A license must be purchases
at least 3 days before the ceremony and the ceremony had to be held within 30
days of issuance.

A District Judge or Justice of the Peace performing the ceremony can sign a 72-hour waiver.

The fee for a marriage license is $32.00.
$27.50 is for the license
$4.50 is for a certified copy which will be mailed back to you.
